Our head chef's journey began from humble beginnings in a village in Tamil Nadu, where he spent countless hours in his mother's kitchen, learning traditional South Indian cooking techniques. After graduating from a culinary institute in Chennai in 2003 with special honors in South Indian cuisine, he worked in high-profile restaurants throughout the Chennai area, mastering the art of biryanis, curries, and vegan dishes. His expertise and reputation led him to Canada, where he now commands our Edmonton kitchen with over 50 years of combined cooking experience, creating authentic recipes that honor his South Indian heritage and establishing Mudpot as Edmonton's premier South Indian restaurant destination.
